About Us
Our Mission& Vision

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: To look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
Masheret is Hebrew for ‘servant’. As servants of God, our calling and anointing is for helping orphans and widows. Masheret Missions was created by the word of God and became a non profit company in 2012. Subsequently the mission also became an NPO in 2021.
The mission is currently comprised of three people who have varied backgrounds, each with a solid belief in God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, His Word and how they work in our lives to help us be the best we can be and help lift up others physically and mentally to be their best.

HOW THE MINISTRY WAS BORN
While studying natural health, Jeane had a dream of being in clinical practice and pictured herself working alongside medical doctors in a clinic environment. All this changed when her oldest child, shortly after a motor vehicle accident, was diagnosed with auto-immune Diabetes Type 1 with complications. The despair and grieving process of having your child diagnosed with a disease which can’t be prevented or cured, only managed to change her whole perspective and the dream turned into more of a heart issue of ‘there must be so many other families who have had to go through the shock, despair and grief of having a family member diagnosed with an illness, where the prognosis is not good.
This is where the vision, instead of being in clinical practise, but rather of being a support to other families and sharing the knowledge of being able to manage this disease as best you can through natural health, healthy eating, healthy lifestyle and nutritional supplements came about.
Shortly after the diagnosis, she received a prophecy about being in ministry which, at the time, she never envisioned. She was in disbelief of being able to, herself, be in ministry and also having to climb mountains of difficulty with her son’s life-long illness and husband’s terminal illness while embarking on a journey.
To make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children was laid on her and her family’s heart which led them to now being foster parents to 3 foster children who have also had many health problems. Along the foster journey they have faced many defeats and victories, but with God at the helm and faith as big as a mustard seed, every defeat became a victory. Through God pouring out His Grace, Strength, Wisdom, Compassion and Goodness, what was always thought to be the impossible became the possible. From that the passion to start a ministry to help individuals, children and families, who are faced with poor health and emotional distress, using 3 key biblical principles ‘Faith, Hope and Love’, was born.

‘FAITH CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS’
We will not always understand why, or know God’s will in all our pain and suffering, but we do know that God is faithful and we can trust Him fully that He has a purpose in always bringing out a blessing and good from all the mountains we face. In His Word, we have this promise:
‘The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a while, will Himself restore you and will make you strong, firm and steadfast. To Him be the power for ever and ever. (1 Peter 5:10-11)
FOUNDER: Jeane Rossouw
Qualified in Natural Health/Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine, with a special interest in chronic disease prevention, managing auto-immune diseases as naturally as possible as well as children’s disorders (developmental delays, sensory disorders, learning difficulties, autism and trauma).
SUPPORT: Marie Yolland
Founder of Masheret Missions, whom has been a firm believer in natural remedies for over 20 years, and is qualified as a Christian Counsellor/Coach who has a ‘special calling’ to help children and families in need, especially when trauma, illness and emotional distress is involved. She is actively the ministry’s prayer intercessor.
SUPPORT: Jan Rossouw
Actively involved in assisting the team and reaching out to assist families in need, with a special interest in naturopathy. He has an inspirational testimony of how God miraculously healed him from a terminal illness. Having had to climb a mountain of uncertainty, fear and utmost difficulty, his ‘All Glory to God’ testimony of defeat and victory, is a vital part of our ministry to bring encouragement and hope to families faced with chronic illness to help them grow in Faith with their Christian Walk.
